Job Purpose and OverviewThe Maintenance Manager serves as a subject matter expert and resource on projects requiring advanced technical knowledge, ensuring plant equipment is operational and in safe working condition to prevent production downtime. This role coordinates both inside maintenance and outside contractors, responsible for lab and office equipment, building structure, parking lots, and outside grounds.
Key Responsibilities- Provides planning, direction, and coordination for all engineering and maintenance activities to achieve optimal use of team members, equipment, and materials.
- Ensures all related functions are fulfilling necessary requirements and tracking towards scheduled completion.
- Collaborates with the necessary members of the team to develop and modify products in an organized and expedient manner.
- Manages pro-active maintenance to include all equipment and machinery in the plant.
- Works safely and maintains a safe work environment following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety practices.
- Identifies and executes opportunities to improve plant equipment.
- Facilitates a safe work environment through auditing and inspecting areas for safety hazards and observing team member safe work habits.
- Corrects all OSHA violations and potential hazards in a timely manner.
- Manages the development of the maintenance staff.
- Manages maintenance and repair spending within budget levels, to include capital projects.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Industrial Technology, or related discipline; Master's Degree a plus.
- 5-7 years of related experiences within a manufacturing facility; Food industry experience is preferred.
- 5-7 years of managerial experiences with progressive responsibilities.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and priorities within structured timeframes.
- Good verbal and written communication skills essential, good computer skills essential.
