About the Role

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of skilled maintenance duties, including inspections, diagnoses, troubleshooting, and repairs of equipment, components, and building facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including work orders, general maintenance, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance installation/repair.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of resident work orders and active and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Communicate with team members, property managers, tenants, and other stakeholders on the status of work in progress and completed.
  • Operate manual and electric tools and equipment, chemicals, and supplies.
  • Maintain facilities storage areas and shops in a neat and organized fashion.
  • Ensure consistent application of OSHA safety standards.
  • Perform unit turnovers and evictions, including pre-walks of units prior to resident moving out.
  • Assist in keeping common areas of the community in presentable fashion.
  • Operate and inspect CCH vehicles for transit to facilities for duties/assignments.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Prior customer service experience working with homeless or low-income populations preferred.
  • Extensive years of hands-on maintenance experience required, especially in an apartment or multi-family setting.
  • Certifications in professional skilled areas of property maintenance, such as HVAC (NATE), Plumbing, Electrical, EPA, CAMT, etc., required.
