We are seeking a skilled RN - PACU to provide independent peri-anesthetic management of a complex, varied surgical population at University Hospital in Madison, WI.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop a therapeutic relationship with patients and their families, establishing trust and enabling them to verbalize their care requirements comfortably.
- Be responsible for the peri-anesthetic management of a complex, varied surgical population.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Permanent address outside of 50 miles from Madison, WI.
- Two years of acute care experience within the last three years.
- Experience working pre/post operatively with varied surgical patient populations and critical care background.
- WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state.
- BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Basic Arrhythmia experience and ability to pass the UW Health Telemetry test.
University Hospital in Madison is a Magnet-designated facility and ranked Wisconsin's #1 hospital. The hospital is a teaching institution and referral center.
Shifts and Schedule:40 hours/week, Day/Evening shifts with start times from 7am. No weekend or holiday shifts required.
