Job Title: OR Pediatric RN - Day/Evening

We are seeking an experienced OR Pediatric RN to join our team at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Job Summary:

The OR Pediatric RN will be responsible for:

  • Communicating and coordinating Operating Room activities to facilitate efficiency in the surgical case progression and turnover between cases.
  • Implementing safe, competent, and efficient patient care within policies, procedures, and standards and care plan to perioperative patients regardless of complexity.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • At least 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years.
  • Clinical Operating Room experience, pediatric nursing experience including PICU.
  • Experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
  • Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).
  • WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state.
  • BLS and PALS certified through American Heart Association ONLY.
  • 2 references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only).
Working Conditions:

This is a 36 hours/week, day/evening position with 12 hour shifts. You will be required to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization.
