We are seeking a skilled and experienced RN to join our team at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison, WI. As a Pediatric ICU RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the Pre/Post Op and PACU units.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide independent peri-anesthetic management of complex surgical and procedural pediatric populations
  • Function as a liaison between the specialty clinic, Operating Room, PACU, and Inpatient Unit
  • Demonstrate skill in physical assessment related to pre-surgical and post-operative patient care
Requirements:
  • Permanent address outside 50-mile radius of Madison
  • Perioperative experience, including pre-op, phase II, and PACU
  • Pediatric experience, including work in a peds-exclusive setting
  • Experience with special needs and complex care patient populations
  • Two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years
  • Experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital
  • Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks)
  • WI nursing license or compact license from permanent address state
  • BLS and PALS certification through American Heart Association
Working Conditions:
  • 36 hours/week, Day/Evening, 12-hour shifts, Monday-Friday
  • Optional on-call with 45-minute response time
