Our Residential Life Area Coordinator will play a vital role in shaping the college's residential experience, providing support and guidance to students living on campus.

About the Role

The Residential Life Area Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our residence halls, ensuring that students have a safe, inclusive, and engaging living environment. This includes supervising graduate assistants and resident assistants, coordinating events and programs, and collaborating with various campus departments to promote student success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Foster a Positive Living Environment: Ensure that residence halls are well-maintained, comfortable, and equipped to meet the needs of students.
  • Supervise and Mentor Staff: Provide guidance and support to graduate assistants and resident assistants, helping them develop their leadership skills and provide exceptional service to students.
  • Coordinate Events and Programs: Plan and implement events, workshops, and initiatives that promote student engagement, wellness, and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with Campus Departments: Work closely with various departments, such as Counseling Services, Dean of Students office, and Campus Safety, to ensure seamless support for students.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least three years of professional experience in higher education, preferably in residence life.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and electronic mail.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from $45,000 to $55,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off. Additionally, we provide on-campus housing at a reduced rate, enhancing the overall benefits of this live-on role.
