Essential Qualifications
  • Education: A High School Diploma or GED is required. You must have graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant Program, which includes pharmacology and medication administration. Certification must be achieved by the end of the sixth month of employment, along with a signed education agreement. Acceptable certifications include CMA, CCMA, RMA, and others as specified.
  • Experience: Prior experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current certification or the ability to obtain certification within six months of employment as CMA, RMA, or CCMA is mandatory.
  • Skills: Must demonstrate the ability to successfully complete both generic and department-specific skills validation and competency assessments.
