**Job Summary**

Avidity Science is seeking a skilled Assembly Specialist to join our team. As an Assembly Specialist, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and packaging quality products in our Valve, Manifold, Small Part Assembly, and Packaging departments.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Perform a variety of assembly operations to assemble small and medium-sized units involving a considerable amount of parts.
  • Recognize defective parts and ensure quality control.
  • Work from drawings, specifications, and work instructions using required measuring instruments and gauging devices.
  • Perform final assemblies, inspect, and test products.
  • Set up and run machines in assembly departments to ensure efficient production.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work environment following 5S standards.
  • Assist other departments as necessary to meet business objectives.
  • Use computer systems to track labor hours and productivity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.

**Requirements:**

  • Knowledge of standard manufacturing and business tools, including Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written business correspondence.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and learn new concepts with general supervision.
  • Ability to manage commitments and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to present ideas to a group and interpret operating instructions or blueprints for assembly and wiring of products.
  • Ability to display a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn to set up, run, and troubleshoot new equipment introduced to the department.
  • Ability to read policies, procedures, picklists, routings, and work instructions.
  • Ability to count by hand or scale.

**Physical Demands:**

  • The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, and use hands to handle or touch.
  • The employee is frequently required to talk or hear and use foot/feet to operate machine/fixtures.
  • The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach above shoulders.
  • The employee is regularly required to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
  • The employee is occasionally required to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. when lifting product from assembly table to test stand or fixture.
