Position Overview

The Overnight Houseperson plays a crucial role in supporting the housekeeping team by executing essential heavy-duty tasks as directed by the Executive Housekeeper.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a positive work environment by engaging with guests, vendors, co-workers, and management in a respectful manner.
  • Transport soiled linens from designated areas to the laundry facility as instructed.
  • Thoroughly clean guest corridors, floors, elevators, and other public spaces as assigned.
  • Dispose of waste from cleaning carts into appropriate receptacles.
  • Identify and report maintenance concerns in public areas or guest accommodations.
  • Maintain, clean, and properly store all cleaning equipment.
  • Dust and polish metal fixtures as needed.
  • Assist room attendants with heavy lifting tasks when required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • Availability to work on weekends and holidays.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey information and respond to inquiries from management, colleagues, vendors, and guests.
  • The physical capability to bend, stoop, lift, and walk for extended periods.
  • The ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place heavy items.
