Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food items using various methods, adhering to established recipes and quality standards.
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure food meets the highest standards of taste, texture, and presentation.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
- Supervise and train culinary staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the highest standards of performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless food service operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and supply chain logistics.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve food quality, safety, and efficiency, resulting in enhanced patient satisfaction and reduced waste.
Requirements
- Two years of experience as a cook or sous chef in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds maximum, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently, with a high school diploma or equivalent required.
