Position Overview:


The Operations Supervisor will oversee a diverse team of over 85 hourly employees, collaborating closely with supervisory personnel and team leaders.

This role reports directly to the Associate Director and encompasses a variety of functions including workforce management, operational planning, optimization of sorting configurations, and reporting on operational metrics. The Supervisor will serve as a vital link between operations and the Logistics transportation and USPS departments.
Key Responsibilities:

The Supervisor is accountable for all aspects of the operational process, which includes production oversight, scheduling, and ensuring adherence to company standards and regulatory guidelines.

This role requires the ability to cultivate a strong team of associates, with responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, and developing employees to maximize their career potential.
Assess staffing needs and manage workforce issues to achieve optimal productivity.
Collaborate closely with the Logistics Manager to ensure effective communication and seamless logistics operations.
Engage proactively with supervisors to address potential conflicts or challenges.
Provide training and licensing for machinery operation.
Mentor and inspire team members, facilitating training and development to enhance their performance and personal growth.

Foster a positive work environment that values diversity, encourages collaboration, and champions company policies and procedures that support these objectives.

Communicate performance expectations, standards, and goals to team members, while recognizing and rewarding individual and team achievements and addressing performance issues appropriately.

Collect and report daily operational metrics.

Work collaboratively with all management levels and team members to resolve operational challenges efficiently and effectively, aiming for optimal results.

Ensure compliance with safeguarding protocols for PHI, HITECH, data security, and operational integrity for team members.
Responsible for facility security and daily closing procedures.

Adhere to the company's social and sustainability values, promoting a clean and environmentally responsible workplace while supporting associate well-being and career development through engaged leadership and resource sharing.

Promptly identify and address any maintenance or sanitation concerns.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating leadership capabilities to support operational staff.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently while prioritizing workforce safety are essential.

Flexibility in scheduling is required based on operational demands.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with proficiency in computer applications (MS Word and Excel), are necessary.
A collaborative team player with outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills is a must.
Ability to motivate, coach, train, and recognize employees is crucial.
Education and Experience: An Associate's Degree or Technical Degree is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Production Operations Management, preferably in the printing sector or a related field.
Knowledge of OSHA and fire safety regulations is essential.
Demonstrated leadership skills are required.
