About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine patrols and maintenance safety checks of the building and parking areas.
  • Respond to security incidents and emergencies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility, including visitor and employee identification.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Participate in training and education programs to stay up-to-date on security best practices and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of experience in hospital security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
