Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Instructor to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As an HVAC Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver instructional content to students in HVAC-related courses
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback
  • Stay current with industry developments and advancements in HVAC technology
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills

Requirements:

  • Journeyman's license in HVAC with demonstrated competency in teaching field
  • Two (2) years of related occupational experience
  • Ability to successfully pass the college's pre-employment security screening

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HVAC Master Certification
  • Knowledge of instructional technology applications, such as the Canvas learning management system
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with multi-cultural populations that support diversity, cultural understanding, and inclusion
