Job Title: Superintendent (Self-Perform Concrete)

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Superintendent to oversee our self-perform concrete projects in Columbus, OH.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site activities related to concrete construction, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of self-perform concrete projects, including site preparation, formwork, placement, finishing, and curing of concrete.
  • Supervise and lead concrete crews, subcontractors, and laborers, ensuring effective communication, coordination, and performance.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Monitor the quality of concrete work to ensure it meets project specifications, industry standards, and client expectations.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, track progress, and ensure that milestones are met on time.
  • Oversee project budgets, manage costs, and work to minimize expenses while maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Identify and address any issues or challenges that arise during the project, implementing solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily reports, inspection logs, and any changes to project scope.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in self-perform concrete construction projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • In-depth knowledge of concrete construction techniques, materials, and safety practices.
  • Proficiency in using construction management software and tools.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams, oversee subcontractors, and ensure effective project execution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to managing challenges and ensuring project success.
