Job Title: Mental Health Clinician

Project 180 is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our team in the Rapid Diversion Program (RDP). As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with court staff, law enforcement, and community partners to provide mental health services to individuals involved in the criminal justice system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop treatment plans for RDP participants.
  • Provide brief motivational interventions and engage participants in services.
  • Collaborate with court staff, law enforcement, and community partners to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of participant interactions and treatment plans.
  • Participate in program data collection and contribute to the development of program policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in social work or mental health field from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid license (LCSW, LMFT, LPCC) or registration (ASW/ACSW, AMFT, APCC) with licensing body.
  • Experience working with culturally diverse populations and individuals with mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Valid CA driver's license, proof of insurance, and own vehicle required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Lived experience with homelessness, mental health/substance use recovery, or the criminal legal system.
  • Experience working with forensic and/or dual-diagnosed populations.
  • Knowledge of and experience with providing trauma-informed services.
Work Environment:

The Mental Health Clinician will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive services to RDP participants. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including court staff, law enforcement, and community partners.
