We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in breast imaging and be proficient in performing 2D mammograms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit expertise in Breast Imaging techniques, including both Screening and Diagnostic Mammography.
  • Execute imaging procedures in accordance with established departmental protocols.
  • Present patient studies accurately for interpretation, ensuring all relevant clinical history and data is included.
  • Engage in daily quality control measures to maintain high standards in imaging results.
  • Report equipment malfunctions to management promptly for timely resolution.
  • Utilize the Radiology Information System effectively to maintain accurate procedural records.
  • Foster positive interactions with colleagues and physicians, promoting a professional environment.
  • Provide clerical support as necessary to streamline patient study processing.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Adjust immobilization devices to achieve optimal imaging views as requested by the physician.
  • Determine appropriate exposure factors based on patient specifics and imaging requirements.
  • Position imaging equipment accurately for effective operation.
  • Set equipment controls to achieve the desired image quality and detail.
  • Operate mobile radiologic equipment in various settings as needed.
  • Prepare images for review by radiologists or referring physicians.
  • Process images, ensuring proper identification and adherence to quality standards.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on radiologic equipment, coordinating repairs as necessary.
  • Implement radiation protection protocols to safeguard patients and staff.
  • Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports of all work performed.

Qualifications:

  • Required education to obtain necessary certification.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience, with a preference for candidates with Mammography experience.
