About the Role

Tenet Massachusetts is seeking a skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, MA. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures, maintaining aseptic technique and ensuring the proper setup of equipment and supplies.
  • Prepare and maintain the operating room, including setting up and breaking down equipment, and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, including preparing patients for surgery, positioning them for procedures, and providing emotional support during the recovery process.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a surgical technician program or equivalent experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • 1 year of experience as a surgical technician, preferred.
