We are seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Accountant to join our Business Operations Team in Huntsville. Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including variance analysis and trend analysis.
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation.
- Support budget preparation and forecasting activities, including financial modeling and scenario planning.
- Ensure compliance with DCAA requirements, maintain accurate financial records and documentation, and participate in audit preparation and support.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 5-7 years of full-time professional experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a defense or government contracting environment.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Proficiency with Unanet ERP system.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, and FAR, CAS, and DCAA compliance requirements.
- Experience with project-based accounting and indirect rate calculations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
