About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Finance Manager to join our team. As a member of our financial administration group, you will provide critical support for sponsored projects, including pre-award and post-award activities. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fiscal management and financial analysis for approximately 25 Principal Investigators in the Department of Psychiatry.
  • Manage a full range of extramural grants, contracts, subcontracts, and service agreements, with annual direct costs exceeding $10 million.
  • Develop and analyze budgets, as well as provide guidance and assistance to faculty and staff on financial management and proposal submissions.
  • Serve as Department ECERT coordinator and provide training on effort reporting compliance.
  • Analyze and summarize complex accounting data, resolve problems, and develop solutions in accordance with departmental, university, and agency regulations.
Qualifications
  • Seven years of related experience, education/training, or a Bachelor's degree in a related area plus three years of related experience/training.
  • Thorough understanding of research administration guidelines, preferably in a university environment.
  • Demonstrated competence in spreadsheet and database software, such as Excel and Oracle Financial systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Maintains current knowledge of compliance regulations in all areas of research administration.

The salary range for this position is $67,200 - $119,600 per year, based on qualifications and experience. The final salary will be determined at the time of hire.
