About the Role

Purchase College, SUNY, is seeking a visionary and inspirational institutional advancement leader to join our team. As the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and Strategic Partnerships, you will play a critical role in advancing the college's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the Advancement staff and work collaboratively with the Director of Development, the Executive Director of Alumni Engagement, and the Purchase College Foundation Board of Trustees.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance fundraising success and promote the college's mission and values.
  • Provide daily oversight of policies and procedures applicable to institutional advancement and the Purchase College Foundation and Charitable Entities.
  • Collaborate with the President's Cabinet and key stakeholders to advance the college's strategic objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including alumni, donors, and community leaders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong personal resonance with Purchase's mission and values, including its commitment to first-generation students and its diverse student body.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion across the development and alumni relations operation and the College.
  • Non-profit finance and administrative skills and experience related to the role of the Executive Director of the Foundation and as a member of the President's cabinet or senior leadership team.
  • Demonstrated success and experience with organizational giving, including grantsmanship, foundation relations, and corporate partnerships and sponsorships.
  • Experience with and acumen in leveraging technology to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Outstanding leadership skills, including unimpeachable integrity, intelligence, intellectual curiosity, great judgment, creativity, high energy, diplomacy, courage of convictions, tolerance for institutional ambiguity, and a sense of humor.
