Position Summary:
As a Production Training Specialist, you will deliver hands-on training to equip production associates with the essential knowledge, skills, and competencies needed to thrive at Butterball, LLC. You will serve as a mentor, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct follow-up sessions on training related to Job Hazards, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and Food Safety.
- Review and clarify job instruction training for new associates.
- Collaborate with team leads and supervisors to ensure associates can perform their tasks safely and effectively.
- Facilitate job improvement training for existing associates.
- Assist with various projects within the Production department.
- Communicate daily work schedules and departmental needs with the Department Superintendent.
- Notify the Department Superintendent of any necessary corrections regarding On-the-Job Training (OJT) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Department Manager.

- Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Food Defense
- Emergency Evacuation Procedures
- Proper Use of PPE
- Ergonomics and Stretching Techniques
- Knife and Scissor Maintenance
- Air Shears Operation
- Yield Management
Safety Awareness Topics:
- Lock Out Tag Out
- Hazard Communication (HAZCOM)
- Emergency Action Plans (EAP)
- Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP)
- Confined Space Safety
- PPE and Hearing Conservation
- Ergonomic and Safe Lifting Practices
- Bloodborne Pathogen Awareness
Qualifications:
Possess a comprehensive understanding of all departmental roles, both online and offline, with the ability to describe and execute all line tasks efficiently. Familiarity with all OJT and JSA protocols for the department is essential.
