Nurse Practitioner in Outpatient Hematology

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated full-time Nurse Practitioner specializing in Outpatient Non-Malignant Hematology to join our esteemed healthcare team.
Work Schedule:
This position offers a four-day workweek with 10-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, along with the possibility of occasional weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Nurse Practitioner in this role, you will:
- Collaborative Patient Care: Partner with the Attending Physician and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care to patients with non-malignant hematologic conditions. This includes performing detailed history and physical examinations, as well as interpreting diagnostic studies and lab results.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the physician, managing acute issues and adjusting therapy orders as necessary.
- Medication Management: Responsible for ordering and prescribing medications and treatments tailored to patient needs.
- Clinical Trials Participation: Engage in the management of patients involved in clinical trials, working closely with the Attending Physician.
- Educational Contributions: Act as a resource for nursing and pharmacy staff, facilitating ongoing education and training.
- Procedural Skills: Perform various procedures, including bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a master's degree in nursing or a Physician Assistant program and hold a valid NP or PA license. While prior experience in hematology/oncology is preferred, candidates with a strong background in general internal medicine will also be considered.
