Job Summary
Hartford Healthcare Medical Group is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Gynecologic Oncology team. This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a collaborative team environment where all providers are connected through Epic, our fully-integrated EMR system.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide holistic, quality and cost-effective advanced practice care for patients, families, and others in a target population, and participate in the medical management of patients, to achieve or maintain optimal health status, manage disease and reduce risk of illness.
- Engage in independent decision-making regarding the health care of individuals, families and groups across the lifespan and across the health care continuum.
- Help to organize and manage the chemotherapy practices, see patients for cancer surveillance, evaluate post-operative patients in the office, and facilitate palliative/hospice care.
Requirements
- Completion of Approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program
- Current APRN license or Physician Assistant license required
- Certification according to CT state law
- Master's Degree or PhD in Nursing or PA program strongly preferred
Work Environment
This is an outpatient role with no nights, weekends or call required.
