Position: Mechanical Systems Engineer for Powerplant Operations (Full Time)

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for engineering tasks related to the design, implementation, and maintenance of powerplant and mechanical systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop solid models for components and system installations.
2. Generate detailed and assembly drawings, including bills of materials.
3. Create engineering orders (EOs) and engineering work orders (EWOs).
4. Formulate process specifications.
5. Draft ground and flight test plans along with comprehensive reports.
6. Analyze test data and produce visual representations such as charts and graphs.
7. Conduct functional hazard assessments and system safety evaluations.
8. Collaborate with vendors and coordinate with procurement for necessary components.
9. Work alongside other engineering teams, including Avionics, Electrical, and Structures.
10. Assist Production teams in diagnosing assembly and operational issues.
11. Provide technical assistance to Legal, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Service departments.
12. Undertake additional related responsibilities as required.
SUPERVISORY ROLE:
May involve supervising, training, and supporting other team members.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field is required. A minimum of three years of experience in powerplant and/or mechanical systems is essential. Preferred qualifications include pilot experience, airframe and powerplant (A&P) mechanic certification, and familiarity with flight crew responsibilities.
Proficient understanding of aircraft systems, including but not limited to internal combustion and turbine engines, propeller systems, fuel systems, fire detection systems, flight control systems, environmental control systems, and hydraulic systems.
Familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) 21 and 23 is preferred.Proficiency in drafting and solid modeling software, particularly Siemens NX and Teamcenter, is preferred. Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
The candidate must possess effective communication skills to interact with all internal and external stakeholders in both written and verbal formats.
