Role Summary:
The TRIO Program Coordinator serves as a primary advocate and liaison for student participants, providing personalized advising and counseling. This role involves coordinating program initiatives and services in accordance with grant objectives to enhance student retention and success.

Compensation: The annual salary for this position ranges from $44,673.56 to $67,010.34.

Key Responsibilities:

• 30% Facilitate student selection and provide tailored advising/counseling, developing Individual Success Plans.
• 20% Collect and analyze project and participant data to implement retention strategies aligned with SSS objectives.
• 20% Organize workshops, campus events, and college tours to support SSS program goals.
• 15% Assist the Director in maintaining accurate data within the project database.
• 10% Support the Program Director in preparing the Annual Performance Report.
• 5% Engage in relevant college committees that contribute to achieving SSS objectives.

Qualifications:

Experience: A minimum of two to five years in a similar or related role.

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, psychology, social work, or a related discipline.

Interpersonal Skills: The role requires courtesy, tact, and diplomacy, with significant personal interaction to provide or gather information, build relationships, and foster cooperation.

Additional Skills: A strong sensitivity to target populations, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Personal or professional experience in overcoming challenges similar to those faced by project participants is advantageous.

Physical Requirements: The position is primarily sedentary, though it may involve some walking, standing, and light lifting.

Work Environment: Regular exposure to favorable conditions typical of an office setting.
