Job Summary

As a Medical Assistant in our Neurology and PM&R department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting providers with patient exams, collecting and documenting patient data, and performing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist providers with patient exams, procedures, and diagnostic testing
  • Collect and document patient vitals, chief complaints, and past medical history
  • Organize and maintain clinical supplies, including the drug closet and medication lists
  • Review charts for next day's appointments and pull lab results as necessary
  • Manage patient care in collaboration with other healthcare team members
  • Perform pre-cleaning, decontamination, and transport of instruments used on patients
  • Float to other Medical Care Foundation offices as needed
  • Follow vaccine and medication management policies
  • Perform document import daily and review ERX requests with provider direction
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Credentialed Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, AMCA) certification required
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire required
  • Minimum one month of on-the-job training preferred
