**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Construction Worker to join our team at the State of Texas. As a Construction Worker, you will be responsible for installing and repairing water meters, water, and wastewater lines. You will also assist in the operation of specialized equipment in cleaning and inspecting sewer lines and sewer taps, clean and repair manholes, raise and lower manholes and meter boxes, and operate trucks, backhoes, tractors, jackhammers, and other equipment.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Install and repair water meters, water, and wastewater lines
* Assist in the operation of specialized equipment in cleaning and inspecting sewer lines and sewer taps
* Clean and repair manholes
* Raise and lower manholes and meter boxes
* Operate trucks, backhoes, tractors, jackhammers, and other equipment
* Order parts and supplies as needed

**Requirements**

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* 1-2 years of experience in construction or a related field
* Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
* Physical stamina to perform manual labor
* Ability to work in a team environment
