Public Safety Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Law Enforcement Officer to join our team at the State of Louisiana. As a Police Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining public safety and enforcing laws and regulations on our campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce state, federal, and local laws and campus regulations through active foot patrols and mobile patrols.
- Provide a full range of police services, including responding to emergency calls, investigating crimes, and conducting traffic stops.
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and campus officials to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Develop and maintain relationships with the community to build trust and promote public safety.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest law enforcement techniques and technologies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in law enforcement or a related field.
- Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
