Role Summary:
The Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in providing outstanding patient care and assisting healthcare providers. This position entails executing fundamental clinical tasks, routine patient interactions, and administrative duties. Our ideal candidate will embody our values, nurturing positive relationships that enhance clinic operations and patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and prepare patients; guide them to pre-operative areas; assist with patient positioning and discharge processes.
- Support Registered Nurses (RNs) with vital signs, blood draws, and administering treatments as instructed. Document and record vital signs, medical history, symptoms, concerns, and relevant details in patient records.
- Observe patient conditions and relay any changes to the healthcare team as necessary.
- Immediately report emergency situations to the Lead RN.
- Oversee and manage medical equipment and supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Execute administrative tasks such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
- Accurately document patient medical history, vital statistics, and additional pertinent information, including test results, in medical records.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations.
