About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our team at AIG. As a key member of our Global Legal, Compliance and Regulatory (GLCR) team, you will play a critical role in protecting our clients and growing our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day legal advice to our Specialty Lines business, including Aerospace and Credit Lines, on transactional, regulatory, legal and compliance matters.
  • Advise and support business partners on regulatory compliance, conduct legal research, participate in product development, and negotiate, draft and/or review insurance policies, endorsements, applications, policyholder notices, ancillary agreements and marketing materials.
  • Work with regulatory personnel to address regulatory matters impacting our business units, including the countrywide filing of forms and rates, responses to inquiries on insurance regulatory issues, and resolution of regulatory and consumer complaints.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in either a law firm or in-house legal department.
  • JD from an accredited law school and strong academic credentials.
  • Admitted to practice in at least one state.
  • Familiarity with aerospace and/or credit lines coverages, the business of insurance and insurance regulation is strongly preferred.
