Powertrain Calibration Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Powertrain Calibration Engineer to join our Powertrain Integration and Performance group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in powertrain performance and a passion for innovative product development.
As a Powertrain Calibration Engineer, you will be responsible for developing test procedures to conduct targeted BEV powertrain development and performance testing. You will also support technical analysis on benchmarking of PACCAR and competitive powertrain systems for heavy and medium-duty vehicles, with a focus on fuel economy and drivability analysis.
Additionally, you will work with suppliers on software and hardware updates and deliveries on all powertrain systems. You will also provide technical analysis and input for new powertrain systems, advanced predictive features, and emerging powertrain systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing test procedures to conduct targeted BEV powertrain development and performance testing
- Supporting technical analysis on benchmarking of PACCAR and competitive powertrain systems for heavy and medium-duty vehicles
- Working with suppliers on software and hardware updates and deliveries on all powertrain systems
- Providing technical analysis and input for new powertrain systems, advanced predictive features, and emerging powertrain systems
Requirements include:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- Self-directed, excellent analysis and engineering judgment
- Previously demonstrated ability to manage complex projects
- Sound knowledge of test cell and in vehicle performance calibration, calibration tools, and engine and powertrain control systems
