Position Overview: The Director of Student Outcomes & Social Mobility is responsible for planning, monitoring, and coordinating the career, job placement, and community outreach for LeMoyne-Owen College students.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Manage corporate partnerships with organizations for internships and career opportunities

* Facilitate career decision making for students through on-going coaching and career planning

* Provide individual and group career coaching and programming, including workshops, industry panels, and presentations on career education topics

* Conduct employer outreach efforts to strengthen and expand current recruiting and employment opportunities for students and alumni

* Partner with employers to design targeted training for students

* Develop strong relationships with employers, alumni, staff, and faculty to identify and develop opportunities for students

* Identify internship opportunities for students

* Assess student interests and qualifications to make referrals to specific employers

* Write career newsletters, reports, and articles

* Coordinate a campus career fair each semester

* Establish and maintain relationships with all constituencies to increase recruitment of students for employment upon graduation

* Provide leadership, vision, planning, and day-to-day management of Career Services

* Develop a marketing plan to target students, alumni, faculty, staff, and employers

* Establish and oversee the Career Services department budget

* Manage student workers and interns

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Counseling, or Student Affairs Administration

* Minimum of three years experience in higher education career services or recruiting

* Knowledgeable of Power Campus and Handshake

* Proficient in MS Office

* Effective oral and written communication skills

* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, use hands to handle, or feel to talk and to hear

* The employee is frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms to stoop, kneel, or crouch

* The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs
