Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commissioning Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end coordination of the Commissioning phase of the project, ensuring safe and efficient commissioning and operation for personnel and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the BESS Commissioning Process
  • Assist the Project Manager in preparing a Project Commissioning Plan and resources plan
  • Create Commissioning Trackers and shared folders with site commissioning vendors
  • Ensure adherence to contractual commissioning milestones
  • Provide remote technical support to the site commissioning team
  • Ensure site teams have all necessary documentation for successful commissioning
  • Prepare and maintain commissioning records of site observations, testing processes, and checklists
  • Receive daily reports from vendors and provide reports to stakeholders
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering discipline or equivalent education
  • 3 years of experience in Energy Storage systems
  • Demonstrated experience in the Sungrow portfolio and ability to offer technical expertise remotely
  • Demonstrated knowledge in utility scale electrical systems and C&I systems
  • Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Education and Certifications
  • Associate's Degree in an Engineering or Computer Science Discipline from an accredited university or college or equivalent work history
  • Renewable industry experience is required
  • Power Electronics experience is required
  • OSHA 10 certification within 12 months of date of hire
  • NFPA 70e certification within 12 months of date of hire

Travel and Work Location
  • 25%-50% travel required
