Litigation Associate

Role Summary: The Litigation Associate will engage in a dynamic and collaborative environment alongside attorneys, paralegals, and administrative personnel within a litigation-focused practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively with team members to address various legal challenges.
- Conduct thorough research and draft legal memoranda and briefs addressing diverse legal matters.
- Analyze cases and provide informed opinions that influence client strategies.
- Prepare detailed memoranda on a wide range of legal topics.
- Maintain regular communication with clients through in-person meetings, teleconferences, phone calls, and written correspondence.
- Draft formal responses to inquiries and requests for information from clients, legal professionals, and governmental entities.
- Represent clients in legal settings, including court appearances, administrative hearings, depositions, and meetings.
- Manage discovery processes, including propounding and reviewing issues in complex litigation cases.
- Document daily time entries accurately.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
Must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law institution and be admitted to the New Jersey Bar.
1-3 years of relevant experience as a practicing attorney, particularly in legal research, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Preference will be given to candidates with judicial clerkship experience in the Civil or Appellate Divisions.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work autonomously, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong research, writing, organizational, and time management capabilities.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with court officials, judges, attorneys, and the public, fostering positive working relationships.
Capacity to navigate established systems and processes while collaborating extensively with colleagues.
Proven ability to attract new clients through networking and marketing initiatives.
Comfortable in client-facing situations and public speaking engagements.
Self-driven and entrepreneurial mindset.
Commitment to continuous professional development and mastery of advanced legal techniques.
