We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our team at Emory University. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to design and conduct research in a specified field, receiving advanced training from a designated Principal Investigator.
Key Responsibilities- Design and evaluate experiments to advance research in the field of emerging respiratory pandemic viruses.
- Develop new ideas that promote current research and contribute to the growth of the laboratory.
- Prepare and publish scientific manuscripts under the direction of the Principal Investigator.
- Operate specific equipment and teach techniques to others, train, and supervise research staff.
- A doctoral degree or equivalent (Ph.D., M.D., ScD., D.V.M., DDS etc) in an appropriate field.
- Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues.
- Knowledge of computer languages such as R and Python.
- Expertise with animal research and basic molecular biology research.
