Viejas Casino is seeking a highly skilled Surveillance Officer to join our team. As a Surveillance Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity of our gaming operations and ensuring a safe and secure environment for our patrons and employees.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor all areas of the property to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal controls.
- Respond to telephone calls and radio communications regarding casino floor operations and provide assistance as needed.
- Monitor radio traffic for situations that may require surveillance intervention or action.
- Provide guidance on gaming violations, criminal activity, or individuals associated with criminal activity, in accordance with the gaming operations manual.
- Conduct surveillance on all cash operations, theft, loss, or violations of gaming integrity.
- Operate surveillance-related equipment and report malfunctions or necessary repairs to supervisory staff.
- Assist management and investigators with surveillance operations plans to prevent theft, loss, or gaming integrity issues.
- Observe and report on matters, as directed, concerning gaming and maintaining casino integrity.
- Generate reports, documents, and videos concerning observed casino operations discrepancies.
- Conduct video reviews to verify payouts, incidents, etc., upon request.
- Conduct audits and assist with investigative reviews of activities as assigned.
- Provide surveillance video to casino management upon request.
- Maintain surveillance records and logs for documentation purposes.
- Stay current on policies and procedures concerning surveillance, gaming, and casino operations, including internal control, federal, state, tribal regulations, and compact requirements.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 0-1 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of all casino games and surveillance techniques.
- Basic knowledge of computer skills, MS Word, and Excel, and telecommunications is desirable.
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and multi-task.
- Ability to work in a high-stress environment.
- Ability to document and testify regarding observations.
- Keen observation skills and the ability to make quick decisions.
