Machina Labs Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning in our facilities located in Chatsworth, CA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping, and other tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken items, painting, and patching to ensure facilities are in good working condition.
  • Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues and perform necessary repairs.
  • Install appliances, equipment, and furniture as needed to support facility operations.
  • Perform general office repairs and upkeep to ensure a comfortable and productive work environment.
  • Clean all robotic cells on a scheduled maintenance routine.
  • Perform basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical work to support facility operations.
  • Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, breaking down and disposing of boxes, pallets, and garbage disposal.
  • Maintain chemical inventory and manage disposal of all chemicals using GHS labels.
  • Manage the 5-S program to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Perform HVAC maintenance to ensure a comfortable working environment.
  • Support the Facilities Manager with all safety-related matters.
  • Support the ERT team with drills and evacuation.
  • Clean CCTV cameras and inspect and support door access systems and ring systems.
  • Drain moisture from compressor systems, collect condensate, and dispose of it properly.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Check the functionality of safety systems, such as fire alarms.
  • Collaborate with production staff and the Facilities Manager on projects.
  • Provide daily reporting of work and tasks completed.


Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a facilities maintenance role.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Experience using hand and electrical tools.
  • Personal vehicle for transportation between our two facilities in Chatsworth.
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity with the ability to lift up to 40lbs occasionally.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Experience with safety training platforms preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in a hardware, manufacturing, or high-growth environment is a plus.
  • HS diploma or equivalent required.
