Medical Support Associate

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Support Associate to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a Medical Support Associate, you will play a critical role in supporting the healthcare operations of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner
- Verify insurance information, address, and phone number of the patient, register new patients
- Arrive patients on the computer for scheduled appointments
- Collect and post co-pays and any other payment at time of service
- Schedule patients for future appointments
- Assist therapists with paperwork needed for pre-certification of therapy visits
- Answer telephone, take messages for the practice
- Confirm new patient appointments for the next day
- Perform clerical duties such as copying, faxing, and filing
- Contact patient in case of no call/no show
Requirements:
- High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
- 2+ years of customer service or healthcare-related experience
- Intermediate level of computer proficiency (multi-tasking through multiple applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word)
