- Develop and implement strategic plans for nursing and patient care services to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to develop and implement hospital-wide policies and procedures.
- Human Resources Development
- Develop and implement programs to promote recruitment and retention of patient care services staff.
- Collaborate with leaders to develop clinical staff members and provide ongoing education and development opportunities.
- Fiscal Management
- Participate in the development and review of the hospital budget and financial plan.
- Monitor and manage financial resources to ensure effective use and allocation.
- Education and Research
- Develop and implement education programs to promote evidence-based practices and improve patient care outcomes.
- Collaborate with researchers to develop and implement research studies and projects to improve patient care.
- Professional Development
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in nursing and patient care services.
- Participate in professional organizations and conferences to stay informed and network with peers.
Requirements
- Education
- Masters Degree in Nursing Administration or a related field.
- Experience
- Eight (8) years of satisfactory nursing experience, six (6) years of which must have been in administration or management.
- Licensure
- Valid New York State license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
