**Job Description:**

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Assistant - Hematology Oncology to join our team at Cleveland Clinic Akron General. This role involves assisting patients and families with hematology oncology care, coordinating treatment plans, and ensuring seamless transitions between treatments.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position working 8:00AM - 5:00PM. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating care, monitoring patient condition, maintaining equipment and supplies, and performing administrative duties.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an approved medical assisting program or military training as a hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1)
  • Completion of a clinical externship or extensive clinical experience
  • Medical Assisting certification preferred
  • BASIC Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required
