Market Director Job Description

As a Market Director at Acxion Foodservice Inc., you will be responsible for overseeing and directing all personnel and operations within your assigned market. This includes managing profit and loss, budgeting, operations, and coaching direct reports on their performance and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage profit and loss for markets and regions to achieve top-line growth and bottom-line performance.
  • Coach direct reports on sales call standard work and KPI achievement, using monthly reports and Einstein capabilities to identify areas for improvement.
  • Document and follow up on agreed-upon direct report actions, including letter in personnel file and additional actions as coordinated with Human Resources.
  • Interact with Segment Leadership to ensure best possible execution and identify geographic relevant Lead-to-Opportunity (LLO) assignments.
  • Track and counsel employees not completing required LLO/initiative calls per quarter.
  • Ensure all company policies are followed, including proper use of the Game Changer CRM.
  • Build and manage relationships with region's principals and meet with distributors and major operators to review Acxion performance.
  • Make all personnel decisions with input from Segment VPs and work closely with Segment VPs to ensure segment policy, programs, and initiatives are properly executed.
  • Develop budgets for sales and profits to be approved and ensure all staff is properly trained and assigned appropriate courses in Acxion University.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Financial acumen for developing and managing a profitable P&L.
  • Understanding of monthly KPI reporting and ability to identify drivers of results and create corrective actions.
  • Excellent communication and decision-making skills, with ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to multi-task and get along with others, providing superior customer service.
  • Good conflict resolution skills and ability to maintain high level of professionalism.
  • College degree in business or related field or equivalent experience, with over 10 years of previous sales experience and 5 years of management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of brokerage business and relationship to Principals and overall business, with experience with Microsoft Office and proficiency in using Einstein.
