Job Summary:

As a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Kaiser Permanente, you will provide high-quality patient care to children and adolescents. You will work under the supervision of a physician to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, from acute episodic illnesses to chronic problems. Your responsibilities will include performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing and implementing individualized care plans. You will also educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention. Essential Responsibilities:
Collect subjective data (obtain history)
Collect objective data (perform a physical exam)
Develop an assessment (diagnosis)
Develop and implement a management plan
Facilitate the referral of patients to the appropriate health facilities, agencies, and resources within the community
Order pharmacologic interventions
Develop and implement an educational plan
Plan for appropriate follow-up care

Basic Qualifications:
Minimum one (1) year experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Graduate of an approved Physician Assistant Program or an accredited RN and NP Program
Nurse Practitioner Furnishing Number (California) and National Certificate and Certificate (California) and Registered Nurse License (California)
OR Physician Assistant License (California) and National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants Certificate

Additional Requirements:
Willing to consider Nurse Practitioner job code 50119
If department elects to hire a new grad NP or PA, the California Furnishing Number and the DEA Registration Number must be obtained within twelve (12) months of hire

Notes:
Travel may be as little as 5% of the time up to 100% of the time. Home clinic: Victorville. May be required to travel to Hesperia and/or Fontana.
