Key Responsibilities

  • The Production Optimization Specialist collaborates with team members and clients to guarantee the safe, prompt, and precise delivery of materials and products.
  • Enhances and supports Aspen Tech tools and feedstock management systems to promote optimization, troubleshooting, and planning, aiming to reduce risks from operational discrepancies and maximize profitability.
  • Accountable for overseeing the site's material balance, including daily balancing tasks and internal customer streams.
  • Continuously innovates new tools and methodologies to improve scheduling, tracking, and accuracy in material balances.
  • Assists in capital and long-term projects.
  • Contributes to the assets' safety, health, and environmental activities, meetings, and inspections to ensure compliance with plant regulations and standards.
  • Communicates effectively with the resource team and operations organization regarding deliverables and requirements to support business objectives.
  • Additional positions may be available.

Qualifications

  • The Production Optimization Specialist should possess a BS degree (preferably in chemical engineering) and have over 5 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing setting, demonstrating a successful track record in scheduling, planning, and optimization.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams effectively against established performance metrics.
  • Strong understanding of unit operations, material balances, and quality assurance practices.
  • Basic knowledge of financial reporting, account management, and contract management.
  • Experience with process modeling and accounting software is essential.
  • Must have legal eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
