Immunization Program Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse 3 to serve as an Immunization Program Coordinator in our District 4 Public Health department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the planning and implementation of our immunization program, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines, and providing technical assistance and training to public health nursing staff and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the planning and implementation of the immunization program, including developing strategies to advance the program based on data collection and programmatic assessments.
- Ensure all providers administer vaccines based on ACIP recommendations, completing at least an annual Quality Assurance Visit at all District 4 Clinics.
- Work with the infectious disease program to follow up on all infants born to mothers with hepatitis B infection and coordinate vaccination and testing of these infants as needed.
- Act as the subject matter expert for the District, providing technical assistance and training to public health nursing staff and other stakeholders.
- Evaluate the vaccination status of disease contacts and public health employees to prevent the spread of vaccine-preventable diseases.
- Provide educational presentations and tools, and oversee community marketing efforts to promote all CDC immunization campaigns.
- PH Licensed Practical Nurse 3
- Vocational/Technical degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited college
- Four years of LPN public health experience
- Current Georgia license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- CPR certification
- Residents preferred for Emergency Preparedness Planning for the Health Department
- Public Health Experience a plus
- Administering Immunizations a MUST
- GRITS (Georgia Registry of Immunization Transactions & Services) a plus
