About the Role

The Sr. Business Data Analyst is a critical function within the Advisory Strategic Initiatives Management (ASIM) division that reports directly to the Business Risk Advisory Officer.

This role involves leveraging data analytics to support the bank's risk management strategy, applying advanced data analysis and statistical techniques to evaluate risk across various first-line business units, enhance predictive modeling, and improve decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize data mining techniques to collect, process, and analyze large datasets related to risk exposure.
  • Develop predictive models to forecast risks and outcomes that potentially impact the bank's operations and financial stability.
  • Collaborate with IT and data science teams to enhance data collection procedures and improve the quality of analytics.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and protection standards to maintain data integrity and security.
  • Prepare detailed reports and visualizations for senior management to illustrate insights from complex datasets.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in analytical software and programming languages such as SQL, R, Python, and Tableau preferred.
