Role Summary:

The Medical Assistant will be instrumental in assisting healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional patient care within our recovery facility. This position requires collaboration with various healthcare team members to maintain high standards of service and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support healthcare professionals in providing comprehensive patient care and treatment.
  • Manage administrative duties including maintaining patient records, scheduling appointments, and liaising with external healthcare providers.
  • Assist new patients during their intake process, including monitoring drug screenings and guiding them through their next steps.
  • Document and report unexpected results from screenings to the appropriate healthcare providers.
  • Organize and distribute medications at the end of each day to ensure proper delivery.
  • Maintain a clean and organized environment to promote health and safety.
  • Follow safety and infection control protocols to protect both patients and staff.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure compassionate and efficient care for all patients.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic healthcare setting with empathy and compassion.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and basic clinical practices.
  • Professionalism in maintaining boundaries with patients.
  • Dependability and reliability are essential.
Education and Experience:
  • Certification or diploma in medical assisting from an accredited institution.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare environment, particularly in a recovery setting, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in fundamental medical procedures, including taking vital signs and providing patient support.
