We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Registered Nurses to join our medical team at Ohio ENT & Allergy Physicians. The ideal candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a clean and organized environment in examination rooms, procedure rooms, and instrument processing room.
- Clean and sterilize instruments, maintain diagnostic equipment, and ensure a smooth workflow.
- Instruct patients regarding preparation for diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Perform medical assisting procedures under supervision of, or as delegated by a physician.
- Take baseline vital signs and patient history.
- Evaluate new patient charts prepared by the front desk.
- Answer incoming phone calls, assist with patient call backs, and calls in prescriptions under the direction of the RN/MD.
- Professionally greet all patients and escort them to clinical areas.
- Manage electronic health records and alerts/flags.
- Provide discharge instruction/education to patients and review handouts with patients.
- Assist other members of the clinical team with patient care activities.
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical office environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of electronic health records and practice management software.
- Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment.
- Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system.
- Knowledge of sterile technique.
- Adherence to all HIPAA privacy and security regulations and guidelines.
- Medical Assistant Certification, LPN Certification &/or RN License.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Current CPR Certification required.
