Position Overview:
The Retail Office Manager plays a pivotal role in driving branch success and achieving service objectives. This position involves leading and mentoring a dedicated team of sales and service professionals to surpass established growth and service benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee branch activities to ensure alignment with the organization's strategic goals.
- Provide daily management and coaching for a team of 5 to 12 branch associates, including staffing decisions, performance evaluations, training, promotions, and ongoing feedback.
- Manage administrative functions of the office, including budgeting, profitability oversight, and compliance with operational protocols.
- Foster branch growth by identifying new business opportunities and enhancing cross-selling initiatives while developing team members' selling and service capabilities.
- Make informed business decisions that benefit both customers and the bank.
- Flexibility in scheduling is essential, with a standard 40-hour work week that includes 2-3 Saturdays per month, subject to change based on business requirements.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in retail banking is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of management or supervisory experience in a retail banking context is essential.
- Proven track record in business development is necessary.
- Experience in branch operations, including policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance, is required.
- Strong knowledge of deposit and retail loan products, as well as familiarity with business lending, is expected.
- Understanding of financial fundamentals, including interest computation and payment schedules, is crucial.
- Excellent coaching and development skills, along with creativity, are required.
- Proficiency in teller operations and processing is essential.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
- Basic computer skills are required.
