New Shepard Technical Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Designer to join our New Shepard program at Blue Origin. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing the technical aspects of our reusable suborbital rocket system.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop technical solutions for the New Shepard program, including CAD models and drawings
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design and manufacturing requirements are met
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including interface control documents and geometry for Finite Element Models
- Coach and mentor other designers and team members on technical aspects of the project
- Ensure design and manufacturing processes meet company, program, and industry standards
- Associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting & Design
- 2+ years of experience in aerospace development or similar industry
- Proficiency in design and integration using Creo Parametric
- Experience in Windchill
- Proficiency in drawing generation, checking, and release processes
- Proficiency in standard fits, tolerance stacks, and GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5)
- Experience with primary structure and surfacing
- Experience selecting standard aerospace hardware, fasteners, bushings, washers, etc.
- Experience working in a multi-functional team responsible for selecting materials, manufacturing processes, and developing the design to produce world-class engineered products
- Excellent attention to detail and task ownership
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
- 4+ years of proven experience in aerospace development (launch vehicle or aircraft)
