Job Title: UniServ Labor Relations Consultant

Join the Ohio Education Association (OEA) as a UniServ Labor Relations Consultant and play a vital role in supporting local associations and members in achieving their goals. This challenging and rewarding position requires a strong understanding of labor relations, collective bargaining, and member advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist local associations in the collective bargaining process, providing guidance and support to ensure successful negotiations.
  • Advise members and locals on member rights advocacy, ensuring that their voices are heard and their rights are protected.
  • Develop and implement effective internal and external public relations programs to promote the OEA's mission and values.
  • Collaborate with UniServ Organizers to provide training and support to local associations and members on organizing and collective bargaining.
  • Provide crisis management support as needed, ensuring that the OEA responds effectively to emerging issues.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for leaders and members on topics such as collective bargaining, member advocacy, and professional development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as education, labor relations, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in labor relations, collective bargaining, and member advocacy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse groups.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, with a strong focus on problem-solving and creative thinking.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other online platforms, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
